Founded Itec South Africa 1997 from a desk, chair, telephone and a 30 day $5 000 line of credit. The business to this day has used no external funding and all shareholders grew from within the company. The combined Itec Group has a turnover of $180 million and employs over 800 people. Itec pursue business in the copier, printer, telecoms and financing arena, importing and distributing to end users. Itec South Africa is co-owned by over 50 partners, and as the founder, Jacques still retains 70% shareholding in the Itec Group. Jacques recently stepped down as CEO of Itec South Africa and emigrated to the UK to pursue Itec UK and other interests in the UK under Boost Private Equity. |
